2015 Buy in Discussion
We're gonna add some structure this year. If you want to buy in, post the amount you're willing to stake. Last year the winner happened to be someone who bought in, but this may not happen every year, so I would like to hammer out specific rules. My thoughts: The playoff team who buys in and goes the farthest should take all, with the exception of the runner up, who should get their money back (This is how we did it last year). If neither team in the championship is a buy-in team, then I think the 3rd place game should decide. If only one buy-in team makes the playoffs, then that team would be the winner, with the runner up being the highest point total outside the playoffs. If no buy-in teams make the playoffs, then the two highest scoring teams would be money winners. Alternatively, we could
If you do want to buy-in, you should express that sentiment in this thread no later than March 15th. Next year I would like to shoot for no later than March 1st, but as we have gotten a late start, I want to give people time.
Switching back to manager mode now, the Thundercats are willing to buy in for $80, and Jason, Cat, Dan, and Josh L are being generous and putting up $20 apiece to cover me there

$20 sounds good to me and 2nd gets money back as well. Why do we need to go by points though? why not best record and if tie heads up, then points?

That makes more sense. Re-reading what I wrote, I think I was pretty tired, as evidenced by stopping mid-sentence to start a new paragraph lol. I'd be in favor of overall record if no team makes the playoffs, and total points as the tie breaker

I'm willing to go up to $100 buy-in max. I really feel we should do it for more than $20 though since not all teams are participating in the buy-in. That or force all members to buy-in for $20 as it's not that big of a fee anyway.
