My idea: You keep a player you sign for a change.

An "asset" that you bid up way too high because you determined his "market value." He is in a pass first offense now, he is a 2-down back not named Marshawn Lynch and he is out of the Shanny zone blocking system so who knows how he will produce.

The only reason the Bengals ran as much as they did was because Marvin Lewis believes in pounding the rock that way, even if your back averages 2-9-3.3 yards per carry

Someone will eventually come after him. Plus hes a top 12 back possible top 5 like his rookie year. If he is then bidding him up to keep him from my opponents was worth it. What does the bengals have anything to do with this?

The Redskins Head Coach was the Bengals OC...pretty simple answer.

Therefore Gruden likes 3 down backs or catching backs more; Helu will benefit more than Morris with the new system. Also see Tatem Bell, Olandis Gary, Rueben Droughns, and Mike Anderson (though he was okay on the Ravens) for all RB's that play great under a Shanahan blocking system and then what they do without him. I think we will all take our collective chances, Shanny's RB track record says that they don't last too long without him.

Especially one that can't pick up the blitz all that well and had rock hands = 2 down back. Just think of it this way. Gio Bernard was the perfect back for Gruden, he would have given him 75% of the touches if it was up to him but Lewis loves his ground and pound (Law-Firm), so coming in to Washington you think he is "in love" with Alf's mobility and versatility? In an offense built around that? Ha

Greg Jennings, Hakeem Nicks, Darren McFadden, Chris Givens (STL), Jermaine Gresham for Alfred Morris and Dennis Pitta
